I - Legal Compliance Warranty

A - Application

In accordance with articles L217-3 and following of the Consumer Code, all SML PARIS instruments benefit from a legal conformity warranty of 24 months from the delivery of the product.

Products of the SML PARIS brand imported by ALGAM are guaranteed during this period against conformity defects.

The warranty conditions are applicable only if the consumer has returned to ALGAM (directly or through an authorized dealer) the warranty form or a copy of the duly dated purchase invoice, indicating the Product's serial number and bearing the commercial seal of an authorized dealer. The return of the Product and the processing of the claim will only be handled through an authorized dealer.

The availability of spare parts for the Products will be communicated upon request.

B - Lack of Conformity

- Lack of conformity is referred to in the following situations:

- Good unsuitable for the usual use of a similar item,

- Good that does not correspond to the description given by the seller, even if it functions perfectly,

- Good that does not possess the qualities announced by the seller or agreed upon with the consumer,

- Good that presents a manufacturing defect, imperfection, poor assembly,

- Installation that has not been carried out correctly by the seller or incomplete or incomprehensible installation manual preventing you from properly assembling the device.

II - Commercial Warranty

SML PARIS has been offering a commercial warranty of 5 years since 02/01/2024. This warranty applies according to the following terms:

- This warranty corresponds to an extension of the legal conformity warranty by 36 months, for a total of 60 months from the product delivery date.

- Only instruments delivered by an authorized dealer after 02/01/2022 are eligible for this warranty extension. Registration must be done during the legal conformity warranty period.

- This warranty is valid only after registering the serial number and uploading the purchase invoice on the SML PARIS website via the dedicated form.

- Only the first buyer can benefit from this warranty. No transfer of this warranty is possible.

- This warranty incorporates all the conditions of application and exclusion of the initial legal conformity warranty.
